  • How much does concrete weigh?

    A rough estimate is 150 pounds per cubic foot. Length X width X height (thickness) X 150 = weight of concrete.

  • How much clearance do you need to wall saw an opening?

    To mount a wall saw, we will need 4 feet perpendicular to the wall (straight back from the wall) and 2 feet of clearance from one side (or top or bottom) of the opening.

  • Why must water be used when sawing concrete?

    Water acts as a coolant and lubricant for the diamond impregnated blade and eliminates airborne dust.

  • What can I do to prepare the area for concrete sawing?

    Start by clearing out all debris, furniture, carpet, and obstacles from the work area and access point. This can also include siding, sheetrock, and framing. Access to all sides of the work area will be necessary for cleanup and safety. Sawing concrete requires the use of water and will create a minimal amount of dusty mist, therefore, all trucks are equipped with wet vacuums for slurry containment and cleanup. 

  • Will you remove and haul off the concrete debris?

    Yes, we have a full-service removal crew, dump trucks and machinery for loading, breaking, and hauling off concrete to recycling yards. 

  • Can concrete be ground down?

    Yes, we have concrete floor grinders and scarifiers to reduce trip hazards and sloping concerns.

  • How close can you slab saw parallel to a wall?

    The slab saw blade-guard needs approximately 2-3” clearance from the wall.

  • How close can you slab saw perpendicular to a wall?

    The slab saw blade-guard needs approximately 3” clearance from the wall.  

  • Can you saw concrete flush with a wall or floor?

    Yes.

  • Can you saw an opening without overcuts in the corners?

    Yes.
